I like all old things. I have a plan in long time, i Want to collect some nature sightpictures, about old villages, old towns, old street, old cities, old building, old furniture. All old things, all about old stories. Maybe it is a bride, a street ,a wall ,they are possess about the life story.
Old building and houses in Oman . Oman between the 1860s and 1930s. In 1870, Oman opened its doors to the outside world for the first time in more than 200 years. It set in motion a truly astounding transformation. As fate would have it, photography had just been invented. As the old country vanished and a new one was born, daring photographers took photos. Villagers in Oman are abandoning their ancestral homes – sometimes forcibly – as the government’s development plans leave little room for their traditional ways of life, a trend that is threatening to wipe out the country’s last remaining historic settlements.
Although local historians and advocates warn that the loss of these villages could diminish Oman’s rich history – and deprive the country of important tourism revenue – young Omanis who will be provided with new homes in settled areas are hopeful about their futures. The government has since the late 1970s repeatedly notified residents of isolated villages that they cannot expect to have such utilities as electricity, telephone and water connected to their houses and that they must move to settled areas.
